Benefits and Reasons for using RSS

According to whatisrss.com "RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually. You ensure your privacy, by not needing to join each site's email newsletter."

To read an RSS feed, you need to go to sites that offers RSS reader/aggregators. Subscribe to your favorite site, or click the orange icon (RSS icon) and copy the URL, and add it to your RSS reader. 6 things you need to consider when starting your own blog

What is the objective of your blog?

You need to know why you are making a blog. For example, Animix Blog Craze which is also one of my blog, an anime blog in which its purpose is to post images of any anime’s wherein just only to entertain others. Well that blog is only for entertainment. Also I added anime playlist there, to let the viewer’s listen to random anime songs while browsing pics.

 Who are your target viewers?

Now think about your content, who should view this posts? For a blogger, you should REALLY consider these things. As of the example blog above, my target there is, obviously, anime fan’s otakus, and every person who is enjoying anime images and songs. So after coming up with your objective, think of viewers who you will think that will browse your contents.

What you should post or talk about with your blog?

It’s really simple, example is if your blog’s objective is about cooking Filipino food and your target are those Filipino’s who don’t know how to cook the kind of food that you’ve post or even foreigners who want to know how to cook those kind of meal, you should post something that is about cooking Filipino food and don’t forget that this content that you will post is informative as much as possible. Oh! Let me rephrase that, content should be “Simple but informative”. J

      What days you should post?

For me this is the most important factor because yeah blogging is enjoying, but other people are not consistent in posting content in their blog. So a good advice, try to set your days when you will post. Maybe 3 times or 4 times a week, or you can also try every 2 days or three days. It will base on your availability time to post, if you work for 8 hours in office, Monday-Friday, you can try to post in weekends.

Do you need to be a talented writer or blogger?

No. You don’t need to be a talented writer or have an experience on writing articles to be a blogger. What matters is that you will give informative content that can entertain or help your viewers. Also, if your viewers like your content and ask some questions, don’t forget to reply them. We may not know what will happen, maybe this people who will ask you will build a circle of who will contribute to you and that is a good thing. J

Do you need to create your own article/content or get?

As for me it’s better to create your own article for it is your own idea and of course the uniqueness is there.  It’s also good to get an idea to others, but there’s something you should do when you are copying an article in the world wide web/internet. When you copy an article or even just a phrase, you should also get its source URL and paste it to your post; in this way you will not be accused to plagiarize any individual’s content. You can also italicize or quote the article or phrase that you copy

Here’s an example:

According to Ryan Pinkham “You can even look outside your organization to other businesses or people whose opinions you think would fit well on your blog. There are a lot of people who would be happy to contribute to your blog just for the opportunity of getting more exposure for their content. All you need to do is ask.”.

After learning these things, you are almost ready to start blogging. You can try to make a blog with blogger.com or wordpress. Don’t hesitate or be discourage just only because you’ve only just started, motivate yourself and the most important here is you share your knowledge to others, share what you know and you are enjoying blogging.

Remember this:

Blogger’s/Admin work is hard, you need to post one or two content in you blog and view how many visitors visits the site, but when you know that you’ve help and entertain your followers, it will make you happy, makes your day and helps you to be motivated to post another content.”

What does blogging means?

Blogging is the act of posting and updating content on your own blog with a specific niche or commenting on someone else’s blog.

You can start making blog with blogger or wordpress.com.

For beginners: Think of a topic of your interest (ex. Arts and entertainment, business, comedy and etc.) and then make some post that are related to you niche.

When your Blog's title for example is: Entertainment Blog you should post pictures about it and  post something and say something that is related to it. You can post images, statements and  even videos.

List of things to consider in your blog post:

- Make your post title a little catchy. Example: 5 ways to lose weight
- Add Image if possible, because image is more catchy than texts.
- Add some captions or information that can help or interest your target viewers.

Also don't forget to add some tags or labels and search descriptions, so that when a user searches your blog, it will be easy for them to find your blog/ blog posts.
